On the Run

The children are rolling into the new year refreshed and energized from the warmth of the holiday season and plenty of quality time with family. It is always amazing to see how much they grow, both inside and out, after a restful break filled with cherished memories.

And with the new year comes a new project! We have noticed that the children show strong interest in fast cars, robot cleaners, and anything that rolls or moves. Their play and conversations show genuine curiosity about how and why things move. All of these observations from play have inspired the next project, “What Makes Things Move?” This project will unfold in three parts:

  1. Body: how our own bodies move, stop, and change

  2. Engines & Rolling: how power helps things move

  3. Wheels & Marble Runs: how movement can be guided and designed

Through this project, we hope to see children build skills like body awareness, self-regulation, and early scientific thinking rooted in their own curiosity. As always we are looking forward to seeing where the children’s minds take us!
