April: Movement Finale
April Newsletter:
Our project “What Makes Things Move?” is coming to an end! It has been so much fun to see the children learn and curiously explore as we have been building our knowledge. We even got to watch movement in nature as we released the butterflies we have been growing for the past month! It was an exciting experience to see them fly into the world after watching them grow through stages of their life cycle every day.
This month we will be exploring our final topics:
Magnet
Wind
Gravity
Mechanism
To help us finish the project by the end of April, Justin & Grace will be working with the children during the “mechanism” topic. They will help the children learn even more about how machines work and try out exciting new ideas. We can’t wait to see what the kids learn as we finish this project.
April Announcements:
Parent-Teacher Conferences (5/4 – 5/8): We are holding conferences a little earlier in May this year as Ms. Esther will be going on maternity leave starting 5/18 for 12 weeks and plans to return toward the end of our summer program. Please look out for a signup sheet coming soon to pick a time to meet.
Outdoor Play: Please provide a sunstick and bug spray for your child to keep in their cubby so that they can apply when we go outside.
