Eric Carle's Draw Me a Star was our inspiration this week. I made a star shape with the masking tape and then the children took off from there. They loved to sit down and work on the floor. Giving them too many colors at once tends to end up making everything brown, so I gave them red, orange, and yellow on the first day. Swirling, dabbing, hand printing,,,they used many different kinds of techniques. I just had to watch them! Part II was done a few days later by the 2 day-program children. They used green, yellow blue and painted the beautiful night color. They are working really hard. Ta~Da~ The Eric Carle's little apprentices drew a beautiful star in the sky together!
